Panchayat Season 5 confirmed for 2026 after Season 4 break franchise record
The new season of TVF’s ‘Panchayat’ has been renewed for 2026. After the success of season 4, the Prime Video series confirmed season 5 of the Comedy-Drama series.

Prime Video and The viral Fever (TVF) officially announced that the ‘Panchayat’ will return for the fifth season, set to the premiere in 2026. This decision follows the remarkable success of season 4, which gave the biggest opening in the history of the series. Launched on 24 June, the latest installment has closed both the audience domestic and internationally, which strengthens the standing of the show as a cultural event.
Manish Meenaghani, director and head of content licensing for Prime Video India, expressed happiness at the reception of the show. He said, “We are absolutely happy with the unprecedented response of ‘Panchayat Season 4’.” The series was streamful in over 180 countries and appeared in the top 10 trending list on prime videos in more than 42 countries on its launch day.
The broad appeal of ‘Panchayat’ extends beyond India, with the show resonating with audiences in places like USA, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom and UAE. In India, it went to number one and streamed 95% of the country’s PIN code in its first week.
TVF President Vijay Koshi highlighted the associate journey with prime video and said, “This has been a really extraordinary journey that cooperates with Prime Video to bring ‘Panchayat’ into life.”

‘Panchayat season 4’, premiered on 24 June, which included Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik and others in decisive roles.
Deepak Kumar Mishra and Chandan Kumar are producers of the show. It is co-directed by Akshat Vijayavargia and Deepak Kumar Mishra. India Today, in his review of ‘Panchayat Season 4’, wrote, “Apart from Manju Devi, another character that attracts attention is Binod (Ashok Pathak). The fourth season record-breaking performance is part of the Prime Day 2025 lineup of Prime Video. The fans were eagerly waiting for the next chapter in the life of the residents of Phulera, who were ready to come out in 2026.
