Nick Jonas reacts to Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming film Varanasi
No matter how busy Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are with their work commitments, they always make sure to cheer loudly for their partner. During her appearance on The Zac Song Show, the international singing sensation talked about PeeCee’s upcoming film, Varanasi.
Nick revealed, “Priyanka has been shooting for a (film) for 14 months, on and off. It’s a South Indian film with SS Rajamouli, who directed RRR, which was her last film. This is her next big film; it’s going to be incredible.” Nick expressed his admiration for Indian cinema, saying that there are many great projects on the horizon.
In the same interview, Nick also praised Indian music. “India and Indian cinema have great music,” he said, adding that sometimes there are item songs that make people dance and turn the film into a celebration. The singer-actor quickly added that he likes big families and is inspired by Indian weddings, traditions and holidays.
Apparently, some of her favorite traditions and holidays are Indian traditions and holidays. Having said that, he revealed that he is raising his daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas with Hindu values and understanding of karma.

In the same interview, the Sunday Best singer expressed that the melodies of Indian songs are incredible. Sharing what he learned from Hindi music, the Hollywood star said that sometimes actors are lip-syncing to the singer’s voice. But some composers are adept at making songs sound like big, exciting hits, but they also work well cinematically. “It’s very inspiring to me,” he expressed.
Talking about PeeCee Ki Varanasi, the upcoming film marks Chopra’s return to Indian cinema. SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus also stars superstar Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles. If reports are to be believed, she will be seen playing the role of Mandakini in the film to be released in theaters in April 2027.
