Next iPhone SE may be called iPhone 16E, protective case leaked

Apple is finally launching a new iPhone SE next year, as many rumors have claimed so far. The last iPhone SE came out in 2022 so it’s definitely been delayed. While we were expecting Apple to simply call the new device the iPhone SE, as it has with all of its predecessors so far, today a new rumor from a tipster on the Will happen.

Apparently, it won’t be the iPhone SE, but the iPhone 16E. This would certainly be an interesting move, bringing the SE into the main iPhone family as the name suggests. Until now the SE line has been completely different and has always felt a bit neglected.

Maybe this will change things, who knows. Above you can see an alleged protective case design for the iPhone 16E. The device will apparently only come in white and black. Its design has long been rumored to be reminiscent of the iPhone 14. It will have an OLED screen and Face ID for the first time (it feels weird writing this in late 2024, but here we are).

Yesterday we heard about the price of the iPhone 16E, and if this rumor is true, it will be $70 more expensive than its predecessor, which started at $499. Considering the larger screen, Face ID support, 8GB of RAM and the A18 chipset, a 48MP main camera swiped from the iPhone 16, it’s not a bad deal in our book for those who desperately want an iPhone But can only buy it. ,
