Netflix refutes Vashu Bhagnani’s claims, says producer owes them money
OTT giant Netflix has refuted the allegations of producer Vashu Bhagnani, saying that the producer owes him money.

After producer Vashu Bhagnani accused OTT giant Netflix of non-payment of dues, Netflix issued a statement dismissing the allegations.
Refuting Bhagnani’s clarification, a Netflix spokesperson said, “These claims are completely unfounded. In fact, Pooja Entertainment owes Netflix money. We have a strong track record of partnering with the Indian creative community and are working with the authorities to resolve this dispute.”
according to the economic timesVashu has accused Netflix of “fraud and conspiracy” against him over the rights to his three recent films – Hero No. 1, Mission Raniganj and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. He filed a complaint against Los Gatos Production Services India, which manages Netflix’s content investments in India, as well as Zoo Digital India and officials of both companies. Additionally, reports suggest that the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has summoned the production services company for further investigation.
Moreover, Vashu Bhagnani came into the news when Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) released an official statement against him after Bade Miyan Chote Miyan director Ali Abbas Zafar, Mission Raniganj director Tinu Desai and Ganpat producer Vikas Bahl claimed non-payment of fees from Vashu Bhagnani-led Pooja Entertainment.
Following this, Vashu and Jacky Bhagnani filed a complaint against filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar, accusing him of misusing the subsidy amount received from Abu Dhabi authorities during the shooting of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The complaint was filed at the Bandra Police Station on September 3, 2024.
