Former cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu joined the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, but only as a guest. However, host Kapil Sharma requested Sidhu to return as a permanent guest for the next season. Sidhu agreed, but on one condition: he said he would come back only if Archana Puran Singh sat next to him.

During the episode, Sidhu compared Kapil’s comedy show to a bouquet and said that he wishes all its “flowers” were back together. “God made it, it’s a bouquet. It has a wonderful fragrance, and every flower has a unique scent. Before I die I want to see all these flowers together again along with Archana. I really do,” Sidhu said on The Great Indian Kapil Show.

In response, Kapil said, “All the flowers you mentioned are here except our flower pot. You are our vase. You should come back next season. The comedian-actor also asked the studio audience if they wanted to see Sidhu back on the show. The audience agreed with loud cheers.

Sidhu reiterated that he would return on the condition that Archana remains a part of the show. “I will come back when she sits next to me,” he said.

Archana Puran Singh joined the team of Kapil Sharma’s comedy show after Sidhu left the show due to his controversial comments on Pulwama attack.

Talking about the reason behind Kapil’s exit from the show The Grain Talk Show Sidhu said on his YouTube channel, “There were political reasons which I don’t want to talk about.” There were other reasons… and the bouquet broke and fell. I wish that the bouquet would be put back together the way it was. I will be the first one to facilitate. His show is still performing very well. Kapil is a genius.”

The Great Indian Kapil Show streams on Netflix. Sidhu was a part of the show until 2019 when it aired on TV.
