Actress Mrunal Thakur has credited Ranveer Singh for shaping her initial journey in the film industry and recently called him her “lucky charm” during a podcast. Speaking to podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia, the 33-year-old recalled how with an ad stalwart Star marked a turning point in his career. He told that it was only after working with Ranveer in an advertisement for a hair brand that filmmakers started paying attention to him.

Answering a question about Ranveer’s new success Dhurandhar: RevengeMrunal said, “My heart is happy. He is my lucky charm. That is why I am present in this industry in the first place.”

She further added, “When that ad came on screen, filmmakers started paying attention to me. I give them all my credit. They have really helped me become such a positive person who deserves all the success.”

The actor praised Ranveer’s portrayal of Hamza Ali Mazari in it stalwart Film series. Sita Ramam The star commented on the film crossing the Rs 1,000 crore mark at the box office, saying that Ranveer went beyond playing a typical hero in the film.

She said, “The acting was not superficial. There was depth and layers to it. I didn’t see it as Ranveer Singh. I only saw Hamza. It was more of a character than a hero. I feel incredibly proud of him. He’s very hard-working. I want whatever he does to be a blockbuster – he can do everything.”

It was directed by Aditya Dhar stalwart-Universe traces the journey of an Indian spy who explores the underworld while attempting to destroy a terrorist network targeting India. The sequel details Hamza’s origins and rise to power in Lyari. The film also stars R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles.
