Manoj Bajpayee, who has worked in films like Satya, Gangs of Wasseypur, Aligarh, Bhonsle and many others, is considered one of the most versatile actors in Hindi cinema. Bajpayee, who hails from Bihar, has come a long way after experiencing struggle in his career. If a recent report is to be believed, the actor has recently sold his apartment in Mumbai for a whopping sum of Rs 9 crore.
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Manoj Bajpayee has sold his plush property located in Mahalaxmi area after a decade for Rs 9 crore. The report states that it was bought with a stamp duty payment of Rs 54 lakh. The transaction was recorded in an agreement for sale and was registered in August this year.
Bajpayee’s apartment was located in Minerva, a luxury residential tower developed by Lokhandwala Kataria Construction. The Satya actor had bought the now-sold apartment with his wife Shabana Bajpayee in April 2013. The couple had bought it for Rs 6.4 crore with a stamp duty of Rs 32 lakh. The report cited data reviewed by Square Yards.
This apartment is spread over two acres and has 362 units. Equipped with modern facilities, this apartment has a carpet area of 1,247 square feet or 116 square meters. Apart from this, it also has two parking spaces of 240 square feet area for cars.
According to the report, in 2023, Bajpayee had invested Rs 32 crore in four office units in Oshiwara, Mumbai.
During an interview with Rediff in 2019, Manoj Bajpayee recalled his struggling phase before entering showbiz. He had a long period of struggle, anxiety, frustration and disillusionment at that time. Bajpayee revealed that assistant directors used to throw his photos in the dustbin in front of him. The Gangs of Wasseypur actor shared that it was common for his photos to be thrown in the dustbin in front of his eyes.
At this year’s Pinkvilla Masterclass, Manoj Bajpayee recalled the milestone of completing his 100th film Bhaiya Ji. Bajpayee revealed that during his initial days in Mumbai, he felt he wouldn’t be able to work in even 10 films.
Bajpayee will now be seen in The Family Man – Season 3 in which he will reprise his role of Srikant Tiwari.
