Official plot and trailer of Manithan Devamagalam

Manithan is based on the life of Deivamagalam Raghavan, a humble man who lives in a remote village with his wife Selvi and his young daughter. The couple have a deep bond and live a simple life in a village that lacks infrastructure including proper roads.

Their circumstances begin to improve when a relative takes a loan from Inbharaj, a ruthless lender and henchman of the local MP. Using this money, Raghavan and Selvi started a small roadside restaurant, which brought hope and stability to their lives.

However, things change when Raghavan directly approaches the MP requesting developmental reforms for the village, and inadvertently offends Inbharaj. What follows is a series of events driven by ego, power and exploitation, as the debt collector manipulates the villagers and tightens his hold over them. As tensions rise, Raghavan is reluctantly pushed into the role of a protector, standing up against injustice. The story unfolds as a gripping tale of sacrifice, community struggle and resistance, exploring how financial oppression and wounded pride can provoke emotional and violent rebellion.
