Mandy Moore hit back at critics who criticized her for sharing details of a GoFundMe page set up for her in-laws, who, like countless others, lost their home in the Los Angeles wildfires.

In the caption of her social media post, Moore wrote, “Yesterday, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Griff and Kit, lost their home and everything they own in the Eaton Fire. With their first child due in just a few weeks, they now have to Our support is needed more than ever.”

He details the loss that befell Griff, a touring musician, when his drum/percussion arsenal burned to the ground. “So many people have asked how to help during this unimaginable and stressful time…please consider donating and sharing to help them rebuild,” Moore said.

However, people raised the argument that Moore only needed to use her own money due to her claimed net worth. He rebuked critics and said those comments were not helpful or sympathetic.

Moore said he and his family are doing their best to help loved ones in need. She noted that the GoFundMe page was actually created by a friend and that she was only sharing it because people wanted to know how they could help.

She concluded, “We have also lost most of our lives in the fire. Please stay away. No one is forcing you to do anything.”

Mandy Moore said that no one is being forced to give. The group originally set a goal of USD 60,000 but the campaign has raised over USD 176,000.
