Actress, dancer and popular film and TV personality Malaika Arora has been the ‘It’ girl of the entertainment industry for over two decades. Malaika recently revealed her secret to looking gorgeous even at 48 and said that people are ‘fascinated’ by her age, not because she is ‘old’, but because she still looks beautiful.

Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar India, Malaika said, “People are obsessed with my age. Not because I am old. But because I look like this despite aging. It feels great when someone says, ‘You look amazing at 48,’. I don’t think people say it in a derogatory way. It’s a compliment. If I can look like this at 48, it’s because of my hard work, dedication and focus, which is paying off.”

Sharing further about her workout and beauty routine, Malaika said, “I love my headstands.” Malaika also takes matcha shots, turmeric and has invested in a South American wood therapy called Madero: “It involves a wooden stick that is used to break up cellulite and stress in your body. Like any other woman, I have cellulite, stretch marks, weight fluctuations and hormonal issues. I keep myself busy and on good days I like to focus on health and just being at my best.”

During the same interview, Malaika also spoke about her career and shared that her son Arhaan Khan said that his friends are confused about what she does for a living, “The other day, my son told me that his friends are confused about what I actually do. They say, ‘So she has done films, songs, she has been a VJ, model, she is on TV.’ For a kid, even they get confused. But why do I need to focus on what I actually do? I do what makes me feel good,” Malaika signed off.
