Babil Khan has addressed the harsh allegations that he used to use the death of his father, actor Irrfan Khan to begin a head in Bollywood. Currently promoting his latest film logout, Babil faced challenges after losing his father, including unpredictable public attention and personal grief.
“Some people said that I was using my father’s death to start my acting career. If it were true, I would not have been auditioning even today. I was sharing love because we were flooding with it all. I had to honor it,” Babil recently said in a conversation with Lallantop.
He revealed that after his father’s death, the spotlight moved to him, and he was not ready for it. Babil recalled that when Irfan’s body was being taken from the hospital for the funeral, the roads were filled with fans despite the Kovid -19 epidemic. People were crying and standing in silence, just to say their last goodbye. He shared that it looked real and deeply emotional.
At that time, Babil said that he understood that his grief was not just personal. It was shared by millions of people who loved and praised him. He started posting Irfan’s memories and stories for attention, but because he felt that it was his way to keep his father’s legacy alive for those who cared for him.
Babil made her acting debut in 2022 with Netflix film Qala, where she acted with Tripti Dimri. Directed by Anvitaa Dutt, the film was praised for its cinematography, music and performance. Later in the Friday night plan, a Netflix release also appeared, who moved around the two brothers, wandering secretly for a party and depicting Juhi Chawla in a supporting role.
His recent film, logout, a cybercrime thriller, who is searching for the world of social media affected and smartphone dependence, was premiered on Zee5 on 18 April. He plays the lead role of a digital manufacturer, who finds himself trapped in the web of deception, forcing him to face the dark side of the fame of the Internet. Directed by Amit Golani, the film also stars Rasika Dugal, Nimisha Nair and Gandhav Dewan.
