In a recent interview with India Today Digital, Kunal talked about the social media fan following Taran has gained over the years. He politely refused to take any credit for the character and its popularity, stating that it was all the work of the writer and filmmaker.

And when he does his little thing, he tells Kalki’s character why are you fighting with your friends, we will take care of it. The audience collectively went ‘Oh’. He has always given the go-ahead,” he added.
