Kiran Rao shares health update after appendix surgery, says she is recovering well
Filmmaker Kiran Rao has shared an update after his recent appendix surgery, expressing gratitude towards the medical staff and friends following his stay at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital.
Filmmaker Kiran Rao has given a health update after undergoing surgery to remove his appendix. On Sunday, he posted pictures and a video from Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, letting followers know that his condition is improving and he is ready to start the New Year at home.
Rao wrote in her social media post, “Here I was, all set to party in 2026, when my appendix sent me a reminder to slow down, take deep breaths and give thanks (folded hands and bowing emoji) – extreme gratitude for modern medicine (still can’t understand how the entire 12mm diameter appendix came out through a 10.5mm catheter, thank God I was the doctor) I am not).”
Rao thanked the surgical team, Dr Kayomarz Kapadia and her friends Ira, Popay and Shefali for the care and support during her stay in the hospital. She also joked about her “plump lips” due to an allergic reaction and said they are now back to normal.
