Filmmaker Kiran Rao has revealed that she is recovering from Chikungunya and asked fans to take safety measures. On Tuesday, he posted a photo of himself relaxing at home with his pet cat and described his ongoing battle with the disease.
Rao shared their picture on Instagram and wrote, “Ok guys, I have chikungunya now and yes Miri is an excellent paramedic, monitoring her mother’s fever on time.” The message was accompanied by a candid photo and a mention of her cat, Miri, adding a personal touch to her health revelation. This public update serves as his way of connecting with fans and sharing the reality of managing the disease.
In an additional post, Rao gave a glimpse of her recovery process, writing, “”Ok guys, I have chikungunya now and yes Miri is an excellent paramedic, who is monitoring her mother’s fever on time.”
In another story, Kiran talked about her recovery journey and wrote, “Walking slow, admiring my friends’ cards, and focusing on my reading – when I can hold a book! I know you know this but the joint pain is too much (skeleton face emoji, exploding head emoji). Take all precautions.”
The filmmaker emphasized on the severe joint pain associated with chikungunya and highlighted the need for vigilance against mosquito bites.
The director also shared information about his daily routine during his recovery. He mentioned spending time with thoughtful cards from friends and focusing on light reading, reflecting the limitations imposed by the illness.
