Khushboo Sundar hit back at the criticism regarding her wedding day post after the death of K Bhagyaraj. The reaction came as condolences and a final video from his daughter’s Goa wedding spread online.
Actor-politician Khushboo Sundar has reacted sharply to the criticism she received on social media after she shared pictures from her daughter Avantika’s wedding celebrations, which coincided with the death of filmmaker and actor K Bhagyaraj.
The reaction started when Khushboo posted a candid picture with husband Sundar C from her daughter’s wedding in Goa. Questioning the timing of the post, a social media user wrote, “Is this post really needed now? When the state is mourning the demise of Bhagyaraj Sir.”
Khushboo did not hold back in her response, saying, “Then why follow me?? Just to criticize?? My daughter got married not even 48 hours ago. And who knows Purnima better? You or me?? If you find it difficult, then stop following me. I am better off without people like you. I have every right to be happy.”

Why was Khushboo’s post criticized?
The criticism came soon after the news that K Bhagyaraj died of a heart attack on Saturday. He was 73 years old. As tributes poured in from across the Tamil film industry, videos from Avantika’s wedding also surfaced online, one of which showed Bhagyaraj warmly welcoming Chiranjeevi at the ceremony. The timing of the wedding photos and the actor’s death drew mixed reactions on social media.
Despite the criticism, Khushboo also paid tribute to Bhagyaraj on Instagram. Sharing a picture of the filmmaker, she wrote, “May your soul rest in peace sir. My fun times with you will always be etched in my memory. I will miss you.”

Khushboo and Sundar C’s elder daughter Avantika married Shravan Srinivasan in Goa on Thursday evening. The wedding was a star-studded affair with guests including Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Venkatesh, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Trisha Krishnan and Amala Akkineni in attendance.
