Kartik Aryan’s Nagzilla pushed to 2027? Here’s what we know
There are reports that the release of Kartik Aryan’s Nagzilla has been postponed. Backed by Dharma Productions and Mahavir Jain Films, the film was scheduled to release in theaters on Independence Day 2026.
release date of NagzillaThe Kartik Aryan starrer has reportedly been pushed forward. The fantasy comedy, which was previously scheduled to arrive during the Independence Day weekend in 2026, will now release in theaters on February 12, 2027.
This update was shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Wednesday. “Karthik Aryan: ‘Naagzilla’ release date locked – Valentine’s Day 2027. Dharma Productions and Mahavir Jain Films’ upcoming film #Naagzilla, a creature comedy starring #KarthikAryan, is set to release on 12th February 2027 (#Valentine’s Day weekend) (sic),” read his post on X.
However, the makers have not made an official announcement yet.

Directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, Nagzilla is a creature comedy rooted in Indian folklore. Karthik’s role in the film wishful snake – A shape-shifting snake – named Priyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand marks a distinct change in his on-screen choices.
The film is backed by producers Karan Johar and Mahavir Jain under the banners of Dharma Productions and Mahavir Jain Films.
Nagzilla It was initially scheduled for release on August 14, 2026, coinciding with the Independence Day holiday. With the change, the film will now fall on the Valentine’s Day weekend in 2027. According to reports, the makers announced the change through a press note.
Karthik was last seen you are mine i yours i yours you are mine (2025) with Ananya Panday. Although the film did modestly at the box office, the actor is busy with upcoming projects including collaborations with Anurag Basu and Kabir Khan.
