The actor made the comment while discussing his upcoming film, which is inspired by the true story of the staff of Mumbai’s Cama Hospital during the 26/11 terrorist attacks. The film places nurses, ward boys and hospital personnel at the center of the story, highlighting their courage and contribution during the crisis.

There should be a change. There should be a change in the feelings of the people. (There should be a change in people’s feelings towards him, that change should come). I think it’s the sexiest profession. They are underpaid, overworked and the most sexually exploited.”

Kangana further said that nurses perform many important responsibilities which are often not paid attention to. According to them, despite the vital role they play in patient care and hospital operations, they are hardly given the respect they deserve. He said that if the film succeeds in changing people’s attitudes, even if briefly, then it would be a worthwhile achievement.

The actor also shared his views on the dress code followed by nurses. She said she feels the influence of the British-era uniform system is still visible today and nurses continue to adhere to stricter appearance norms than many other health care professionals.

He said, “I think the dress code of British nurses is still in practice. Like doctors, our nurses can wear whatever they want to wear; they get a code. But our nurses, whether the weather is hot or cold, have a kind of exotic look. That’s my personal opinion. But in this film, we have worked with honesty and dignity. Shape and size don’t matter, your uniform is your duty.”
