Kalki 2898 A.D. starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan was released on May 9, 2024. Reportedly, the film is now all set to make its OTT debut.
According to a report by Let’s Cinema, the science fiction mythological epic is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video from August 23, 2024. The film is said to be available to watch in languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is set in a dystopian future and begins 6000 years after the Kurukshetra War in the Mahabharata. In the year 2898 AD, Kashi will become the last city in the world, ruled by a totalitarian government led by a self-proclaimed deity called Supreme Yaskin.
As common people struggle to make a living in the new world, a new ray of hope shines before them in the form of the prophesied 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu; Kalki, set to end Kali Yuga.
The film draws inspiration from Hindu scriptures and presents an imaginative and thrilling world with elements of mythology and science fiction. The film stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone (voiced by Shobhita Dhulipala) and Kamal Haasan in the lead roles.
Apart from the lead actors, the film also stars several other actors like Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, Shobana, Saswata Chatterjee, Brahmanandam, Pasupathi, Anna Ben in pivotal roles.
Moreover, the film also featured Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, SS Rajamouli, Ram Gopal Varma and many others in surprising cameo roles. A sequel to the science-fiction film Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2 was also announced, which is the second installment of the Kalki Cinematic Universe.

Talking about Prabhas’ work, the actor will be seen in the lead role in the film The Raja Saab directed by Maruthi. The film is a romantic comedy horror film in which the actor will be seen in a fun avatar.
The film will hit the big screens on April 10, 2025, also starring Malavika Mohanan, Nidhi Agerwal and many other actors in pivotal roles.
