Jay-Z has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl at an MTV Awards after-party with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in 2000. Rapper and entrepreneur, Shawn Carter was named in an amended lawsuit filed by Texas-based attorney Tony. Buzbee on Sunday, December 8, according to court documents obtained by myriad media outlets.
The original complaint, filed by an unnamed accuser in October, listed only Combs as a defendant.
NBC News first reported the amendment to the lawsuit.
The accuser, identified as Jane Doe, claims in the lawsuit that both Jay-Z and Combs raped her at a New York house party on September 7, 2000, when she was 13 years old. She claimed that she was offered drinks at a banquet attending it made her dizzy, prompting her to rest for a while in an empty bedroom, during which she alleged the crime had occurred.
As she lay in bed, she alleges that Combs and Jay-Z entered the room, with Jay-Z telling her that he was now “ready to party!” According to her, the latter removed her clothes, grabbed her, and raped her while Combs and an unidentified female celebrity watched. Combs reportedly began raping her while Jay-Z and the woman watched.
In a statement obtained by Page Six on Sunday, Jay-Z vehemently denied the allegations and criticized Buzbee, a “reprehensible” lawyer, for malicious conduct.

“My attorney received a blackmail attempt called a demand letter from an attorney named Tony Buzbee. What they calculated was that the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would lead me to compromise,” the 55-year-old Grammy winner began.
“No sir, it had the opposite effect. This prompted me to publicly expose your fraud. So, no, I will not give you a single red penny!”
Citing the “heinous” nature of the allegations, Jay-Z challenged Buzbee to file criminal charges against him. He said that if Buzbee truly believes he did wrong, lawyers should push for him to be put in prison, because that would be real justice for the alleged victim.
“I don’t know how you became such a disgusting human being, Mr. Buzbee, but I promise you I’ve seen your type many times. I’m totally ready to deal with your type,” Jay-Z said. .
Elsewhere in his statement, the musician said his heart is broken for his wife and especially his three children: daughters Blue Ivy, 12, and Rumi, 6, and son Sir, 6. Responding to the updated filing, in a statement obtained by Page Six, Combs’ legal team dismissed many of their complaints against Buzbee and his client, calling them nothing more than a publicity stunt designed to extract payments from celebrities.
