This became an emotional moment for the team and their families. Janhvi’s Dad Boney Kapoor could not stop crying. The actress’s sister, Khushi Kapoor, and lover, Shikhar Pahariya also stood proudly.
In a video that appeared on the internet, the homebound team was seen hugging each other between the standing ovation. Boney Kapoor, who stood a few lines behind the artists and the crew, was seen wiping his tears with a handkerchief. Khushi Kapoor said smiling at his father’s response. He was proud of Janhvi Kapoor and the entire team. Dhadak actress’s beauty Shikhar Pahiya was standing with happiness and kept clapping continuously.
Boney Kapoor shared a hearty moment with producer Karan Johar and put his hand. He also blessed Ishaan Khatar.

Homebound premiered on May 21 at the 78th Cannes Film Festival in the United Nations category. It is competing with films like Ellenor the Great, My Father’s Chhaya, Pillian, Urin, and more. The team, including Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khat, Vishal Jethwa, Neeraj Ghaywan and Karan Johar, stepped on the red carpet a day before the screening of the film.
Earlier, during the official announcement of ear selection of homebound, Janhvi Kapoor expressed her happiness on Instagram. He said, “A moment where the Indian cinema occupies the world. We honor to declare that the #Homebound makes its way for official selection in the ‘some honor of the United Nations’ in the 78th edition of the festivals.
