Is Rihanna planning a tour in 2024? Everything we know so far

Rihanna is a popular pop singer, songwriter, and beauty-fashion entrepreneur who has been ruling the music industry for years. It has been a while since Rihanna performed on her tour. Now, rumors are flying that the singer might be planning a tour in 2024 as there are reports in the media that she has signed a deal with Live Nation to go on tour. However, she has not announced it yet.

After his OG songs in the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and his performance at the Super Bowl halftime in 2023, his fans started demanding a ninth album from the rockstar. According to reports, he last held a tour in 2016 to promote his album Anti, and he has put it on hold since then.

According to Billboard Boxscore, Anti’s tour was a huge success as it grossed over US$110 million. Now, will the singer be back with another tour and album soon? Here’s everything we know so far.

According to reports in Mirror and Entertainment Tonight, Rihanna had confirmed a USD 32 million deal with Live Nation for her comeback with a tour and album. A close source told Mirror in October 2023, “Rihanna has been quietly planning a comeback tour after signing with Live Nation. The deal was designed to feature a world tour and her creative team has been working quietly in Los Angeles as she raises her family. When she is ready to get back to work and has two albums’ worth of material to release once she is back, she will press play on the live shows.”

But soon, the news of signing the deal and Rihanna planning her tour was debunked by Billboard. A high-profile source shared that no tour has been confirmed for Rihanna yet. However, the beauty and fashion mogul once said that starting her own tour at some point was always on her mind. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in December 2023, the Diamond hitmaker addressed that before taking on a touring project, she wanted to release new music. RiRi explained that it’s only fair for her fans to give them what they’ve been waiting for so long.

Later, at the Fenty Hair launch party in Los Angeles, Rihanna spoke about her ninth album and said, “I’ve been working on the album for so long that I’ve put all that stuff aside and now I’m ready to go back in the studio. I’m about to start over — give me a second!” She added, “Yes, I’m starting over again, but I don’t want to ignore the songs that I have, so I really want to go back and listen to things with fresh ears, with my fresh perspective, and then see what applies and what I still like.”

While her fans wait a little longer for the rockstar to announce her ninth album and touring projects, Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty is proving to be quite a commercial success as the brand has now been announced as a premium partner at the Olympics and Paralympics in Paris.

Well, only time will tell if Rihanna is planning a tour in 2024. But what are your thoughts?
