Lokesh Kanagaraj is eagerly waiting for the release of his film Cooli, starring Rajinikanth in the lead role. On August 14, 2025, in front of the big screen hitting the film, the director was seen talking about his cooperation with Aamir Khan and is this film Irumbu Kai Raiser.

Talking with Valai Pichu, Lokesh Kanagarj highlighted his upcoming film with Aamir Khan, revealing whether it is actually his superhero venture, Irumbu Kai Rahii.
The director said, “I mean to clarify this. See, Irumbu Kai Abrubi was originally written 10 years ago. I was planning that my entry ticket to cinema, but because of its scale, I was not convinced enough and decided to pursue it.”
“I love the story completely because it has a lot of basic values. However, in 10 years, there were similarities for what I had imagined in many other films, especially from a visual perspective. Now, if I am making Irumbu Kai Mavii, I will do it in addition or change,” Kanagaraja said.
Diving in details about his film with Aamir Khan, Lokesh revealed that after working on Cool, a chance to do a film with him. The filmmaker highlighted how he always loved Khan’s work as a young man, and the actor loved to work under his direction.
Lokesh continued, “As we developed a synergy with each other, they asked me if we could do an action film together. They have not done an action film for a long time, and they loved the action moments in the cool. My school of cinema is different and they are different; however, when we came together, they liked it.”
“We don’t know if it will be a superhero or fantasy film, but in its beginning there will be heavy action. I can’t say whether it will be Irumbu Kai elusive, but the elements can come up with a new perspective,” he concluded.
Lokesh Kangaraj lineup
Lokesh Kanagarj will soon hit theaters with Rajinikanth starrer Cool. Later, director Captain Miller Helmer will make his debut in a leading role under Arun Matheshwaran.
In addition, in his lineup, with Aamir Khan’s film, his next direction has already been announced to be Kathy 2 with Karthi.
