We have an exclusive first look at the new Infinix Hot 70 Pro for you guys, as well as an unboxing. Let’s do that. The phone is shipped with a packed box. You get a 45W charger, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and a nice case with a beautiful outline.
Unboxing the Infinix Hot 70 Pro
Ours is the Mirage Green model, which has a grippy vegan leather finish on the rear panel. The phone feels balanced in the hand.
The special thing about the Mirage Green model is the special light-up effect that is encased in vegan leather. Shine some UV light on the panel, and these tiny light-up particles will appear on the surface.
This is a subtle effect, most visible in dark conditions. It simulates a clear night sky.
There’s also a Thermo Orange version, which changes the darkness of its orange color with temperature (we’ve played with such a finish on the Hot 70).

Another subtle detail of the Hot 70 Pro is the Active Matrix Cube LED on the back, which is located inside the third camera lens housing (there are only two cameras, more on that below). The small LED lights up for calls, messages and charging, but it can also display custom animations. You can create your own emoji or choose one of the pre-loaded animations. There are also two games on the mini display – Lucky Wheel and Lucky Number – one spins in any direction to “decide”, the other generates numbers from 0 to 9.
There is also a dedicated AI button on the side of the phone. A short press can be set to save a contact, create a calendar event, or send Gmail. A long press launches Infinix’s Folax AI assistant.
Let’s talk about the specifications. The screen is a 6.76-inch FHD+ IPS LCD unit with a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate. The SoC of choice is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X. Infinix says the chip is capable of 780k+ in AnTuTu, and you can get 90fps in supported games.
There are two cameras on the back of the phone: an 8MP unspecified camera, and a 50MP (1/1.95-inch IMX882) wide-angle shooter. The phone offers 1x and 2x shooting modes, both of which use the 50MP camera. We’re not sure what the second lens is used for.
The phone is IP68-rated, but it also has MIL-STD-810 certification to withstand “challenging conditions” (Infinix doesn’t specify). Depending on the market, there are two batteries on offer – users get either a 6,000mAh or 5,600mAh.
