Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has announced the re-release of Tripti Dimri’s Bollywood debut film “Laila Majnu”, which also stars Avinash Tiwari in the lead role. The romantic drama will release in India on Friday, August 9. “Back by popular demand,” Ali wrote on Instagram.

Sharing the poster of ‘Laila Majnu’, Imtiaz wrote on Instagram, “Laila Majnu is back on popular demand!!! Thank you for your love which has brought it back to cinemas after 6 years!! Re-releasing in cinemas nationwide on 9th August 2024 (see pic) Congratulations Team LM (sic).”

Starring Tripti Dimri and Avinash Tiwari, ‘Laila Majnu’ is a modern take on the classic Persian love story. Directed by Sajid Ali, the film captivates with its heartwarming performances, poetic narrative and stunning Kashmiri landscapes, making it a favourite among romantic drama lovers.
