He added, “I never saw it as my duty; I always saw it as my privilege. The time I spent with my child is something I wanted for myself. It’s not about fulfilling a role but about experiencing happiness, love and connection.”
The actor also stressed that parenting should not be viewed through a gender-based lens. She said child-rearing is a shared responsibility and should be undertaken equally by both parents, which helps reduce the pressure often placed on mothers.
Reflecting on co-parenting, Imran said that family structures may change over time, but the emotional security of the child must remain constant. He explained that children thrive in an environment where they feel safe, supported and reassured by their parents.
