I’m not Pakistani: Dharandhar actor defends kidnapper role amid backlash
Vivek Sinha, who played the role of a kidnapper in Dhurandhar, has reacted to the protests over his role in Aditya Dhar’s film. In a message shared on social media, the actor clarified that he is neither a terrorist nor a Pakistani.

Actor Vivek Sinha, who played the role of kidnapper Zahoor Mistry in Dhurandhar, has faced criticism for his character. In a video statement on social media, the actor said the criticism intensified after the trailer. Dhurandhar 2 Memories of the 1999 IC814 Kandahar hijacking came alive. Through his video, Sinha clarified that he is not a Pakistani and certainly not a terrorist.

Do you know what is happening in every comment? ‘Your face looks like terror to us’, ‘I feel like going inside the screen and killing’, ‘You have made us angry’… can I say one thing? I don’t like this patriotism so much that we have it, salute to it. One is saying, ‘I will kill you by entering Pakistan’.

The actor further clarified that he is not Pakistani and is from Dhampur, Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. He said that he has been living in Mumbai for some time. “One is saying, ‘Sir I feel like giving you a few abuses, you have done such a good job.‘. Even if you abuse, you are getting so much love.thank you so much. (One of you is saying, ‘Sir I feel like abusing you because you have done such a good job in the film.’ You can abuse me too. I am getting a lot of love),” he said.
In the end Sinha appealed to his fans to watch it Dhurandhar: Revenge In theaters on March 19.
