Dhurandhar collected Rs. Earning around Rs 4 crore on fifth Monday. This brings its running total to Rs. Approximately Rs 735.50 crore nett. This film starring Ranveer Singh is now available for just Rs. 2.50 crore behind Pushpa 2 (Hindi) and is set to become the highest grossing Hindi film of all time in India today.
Yesterday was the first working day of the film after a long vacation. This is the first normal Monday decline that the film has seen, as its weekday earnings had been unusually strong so far. For the first few weeks, the sheer strength of demand ensured absurdly strong weekday holds, while over the last two weeks, the extended holiday period kept weekday trading high.
The fourth week of the film was Rs. Rs 45 crore nett or so, which will be a new record by 60 per cent or more margin. The film will cross crores. It has grossed Rs 750 crore in its sixth week and is likely to close above Rs. 775 crore nett. Rupee. The Rs 800 crore nett benchmark looks tough now, unless the film achieves some unexpectedly strong traction in the coming weeks.
Dhurandhar has emerged as the most watched original Hindi film theatrically in the post-pandemic era, with around 3.25 crore tickets sold, surpassing Gadar 2. The film is likely to cross 3.50 crore footfall, although it looks challenging to surpass Dangal’s 3.70 crore footfall, becoming the most watched original Hindi film in the last twenty-five years.
Although the collection is far ahead of other Bollywood films, the difference in terms of viewership is not that much. Apart from higher contributions from multiplexes, the film maintained increased ticket prices throughout its run, unlike most other films, which reduced their prices from the second Monday onwards. Dhurandhar has finally reduced its prices this week and is also going for “Discount Tuesday”, though it’s barely a discount, as prices are as high as Rs. Rs 199 compared to normal Rs. 99 or Rs. 149.
The box office collections of Dhurandhar in India are as follows:
