Hit 3 vs Retro Box Office Day 3: Suriya’s thriller in Nani’s film race

This week’s South release – Nani’s ‘Hit: The Third Case’ and Suriya’s ‘Retro’ – strengthened at the box office. However, the Telugu thriller has pulled forward from the Tamil Actioner in terms of collection.

Telugu actor Nani’s ‘Hit: The Third case’ has clearly improved Suriya’s Tamil thriller ‘Retro’ at the box office. By day 3, ‘Hit 3’ extended ‘retro’ in domestic collection. The film is moving towards a gross mark of Rs 50 crore continuously, while ‘Retro’ is yet to cross Rs 40 crore.

According to industry tracking site Sacnilk.com, ‘Hit: The Third case’, directed by Selesh Kolanu, earned around Rs 10.25 crore on its first Saturday. Its total gross is now an estimated Rs 49.4 crore. In comparison, Retro earned the same amount, as was done on Friday – Rs 7.75 crore – brought its net to a total of Rs 34.75 crore.

Day 1: 24.75 crores

Day 2: 12.35 crores

Day 3: 12.3 crore rupees

Nani’s ‘Hit 3’ is the third installment in the successful ‘hit’ franchise. The first film consisted of Vishwak Sen, while the second starred Adivi Sesh. In this chapter, Nani played her role as Arjuna Sarkar, investigating a murder case with a difficult and incredible police.

On the other hand, ‘Retro’ shows Suria in a gritty role that mixes action and emotional depth. Directed by Karthik Subaraj, the film has been investigated in love, loyalty and violence. Pooja Hegde acted as a female lead.
