The funky is scheduled to release on the OTT platform Netflix and will start streaming on March 13, 2026. The official update was shared via the social media handles of the streaming platform.
Sharing the update, the streaming team wrote, “Emotion leni director, Dabbulu Ivavani producer, Iddhaaru kalishthe funky (a director with no emotions and a producer who doesn’t get paid, when both come together, it becomes funky). Watch Funky on Netflix, March 13 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.”

Official Trailer and Storyline of Funky
Funky is the story of an aspiring filmmaker Komal (played by Vishwak Sen), who decides to direct his first film titled Funky. However, the film’s budget unexpectedly spiraled out of control, causing stress and health issues for producer Sudarshan.
As a result, Komal is removed from the position of director, and Chitra (played by Kayadu Lohar) steps in to take charge and complete the project. The rest of the story traces the challenges faced by the team in finishing the film on a limited budget while going through personal struggles and professional struggles.
Amidst these obstacles, Komal and Chitra develop a romantic relationship, and the story focuses on whether they can overcome the obstacles and complete the film successfully.

Funky stars Vishwak Sen and Kayadu Lohar in co-lead roles. Apart from him, the film also stars Naresh, VTV Ganesh, Sampath Raj, Ishwari Rao and many others in lead roles. Additionally, KV Anudeep, Kalyan Shankar, Naga Vamsi S, Harish Shankar and Dil Raju appear in cameo roles.
Co-written and directed by KV Anudeep, the film is also written by Mohan Sato. It is bankrolled by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios. The film’s songs and background score are composed by Bheems Cicerolio.
Additionally, the cinematography is handled by Suresh Sarangam, while Naveen Nooli takes care of the editing.
