A food blogger has expressed his frustration and disappointment towards MasterChef India after he learned that the show, for which he had passed three rounds of auditions, will no longer be aired in its original format. Instead, the popular cooking reality show has been replaced with a celebrity version.

Blogger Sharda of The Petit Cakery Instagram handle recently shared her experience, revealing that she was initially thrilled to make it to the multiple rounds of auditions. However, he was later disappointed to learn that the show would not go ahead as planned. To make matters worse, they learned about the show’s cancellation from outside sources rather than the production team.

He wrote, “I don’t know why they wasted so much time and money on auditions, went through so many rounds and selected us, then dropped everything and went with a celebrity version.” “It was quite disappointing to find out after passing three rounds that the show had been axed and was being replaced by something new.”

The blogger also expressed disappointment over the lack of communication from the MasterChef India team. “The worst part is that no one told us. We were all waiting for an update, then learned from other sources that the show was no longer happening.”

The announcement of the celebrity edition instead of the original series would have been a major disappointment to the contestants who had invested their time and effort in the rigorous audition process. The blogger acknowledged that although the situation was frustrating, she acknowledged that ultimately, it was the producers’ decision.

She said, “It’s a waste of all our time and efforts, but yes, it’s their TV show, so I can’t complain.” He concluded, “If I hadn’t cleared the round, it wouldn’t have mattered, but now it’s a bit sad.”

This situation highlights the unpredictable nature of reality television.

Celebrity MasterChef has included popular actors like Deepika Kakkar, Gaurav Khanna, Nikki Tamboli and Tejasswi Prakash as contestants, while Farah Khan is hosting the show. The returning judges include Chef Vikas Khanna and Chef Ranveer Brar. The show will premiere soon on Sony TV.
