Pakistani actor Favad Khan and Vanani Kapoor’s film ‘Abir Gulal’ suffered a shock after an attack of Pahalgam terror on 22 April. Originally slated for release on 9 May in India, the romantic drama never made in theaters. Recently, several reports suggested that the film would hit the Indian screen on 26 September. However, the government has now clarified that the film will not be released in India.

The official X handle of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) issued an explanation about the report that ‘Abir Gulal ‘is scheduled for a dramatic release In India.

The post stated, “It is being claimed by several media outlets that the film” Abir Gulal “will be released in Indian cinemas on 26 September 2025 (SIC) starring Favad Khan and Vanani Kapoor.”

Along with Fawad Khan and Vanni Kapoor, the cast also included Lisa Hayden, Ridhi Dogra, Farida Jalal, Soni Razdan and Parmeet Sethi.
