Suriya is all set to shine on the silver screen soon with his next release Kanguva. This fantasy action thriller is already predicted to be one of the actor’s biggest entertainers. With the promotions for the pan-India release in full swing, the producer of Kanguva recently grabbed attention when he revealed about the possible sequel of the film.
In an interview with ETimes, Kanguva producer TJ Gnanavel revealed that the film was planned to be a two-part project right from the beginning. He said that the backstory of the characters will be shown in the sequel. Speaking on the tentative schedule of the second installment, the producer revealed that pre-production of Kanguva 2 will begin next year, while its shooting will begin in 2026. He shared that the release will be in 2027.
Gnanavel said, “Director Siva has brought to life an unseen world with ‘Kanguva’, and I believe the audience will embrace it. It is envisioned as a two-part project, with plans for a spin-off web series. Each character like Udharan (played by Bobby Deol) will have a detailed background. Pre-production of ‘Kanguva 2’ will begin next year, filming will begin in 2026, with a target to release in 2027.
Well, the excitement of the Suriya starrer is palpable among his fans, and it happens every now and then when they get surprised with new updates on the film ahead of its release on November 14, 2024.
For example, during the promotional event of Kanguva, filmmaker Siva mentioned how talented musician Anirudh Ravichander would make a special cameo in the film. She will have a special appearance in the song Yolo from the film starring Surya and Disha Patani.
Well, agree or not, the entire cast and crew of Kanguva is leaving no stone unturned to give the audience a memorable experience. Going by the trailer, songs and other special glimpses shared by the makers, the film is expected to win big once it hits the theatres.
Earlier, during a conversation with Pinkvilla’s Masterclass, Suriya had talked about the massive scale of his next film Kanguva and shared how it matches with the massive scale of Telugu releases like Baahubali, Kalki 2898 AD and RRR. Will eat.
“From the day of the statement, we knew we were entering a different world,” he said. Of course, we have seen Baahubali, RRR and Kalki, but for Tamil, Kanguva will be a big first step, that’s what I would like to say.
