Elon Musk has taken a major step towards uniting its companies under an AI-managed future. His space company SpaceX has invested $ 2 billion at Artificial Intelligence Startup, XAI, established last year. The target AI is to bring closer to the origin of all its undertakings, including SpaceX, Tesla and their social media platform X (East Twitter).

According to a report by Reuters, XAI was merged with X after merger with X earlier this year, and the joint company is about $ 113 billion. The big funding round was led by Morgan Stanley in June. This shows AI as a central force in its businesses to use AI as a strong investor trust in Musk’s plan.

An important part of this scheme is Groke, which is a chatbot created by XAI. Groke is already being used to handle customer questions on Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite internet service, and testing is underway to bring it to Tesla’s Optimus robot. Musk allegedly wants Groke to be the main AI system running in its entire ecosystem. In simple words, an AI that can work on rockets, robots and social media.

This is the largest investment of $ 2 billion, made out of its own space operation. The company has generally focused on rockets and satellites, but sometimes helped in other Musk’s other undertakings. In the past, SpaceX supported Musk funding during Tesla’s early days and even helped his Twitter purchases with a \ $ 1 billion loan, which he later paid.

But inserting such a large amount in AI leads to some risks. SpaceX is already spending heavily on starships, its ambitious rocket project that has faced delays and test failures. While SpaceX allegedly has more than $ 3 billion in cash, financed two major efforts at a time – Starship and XAI – can put pressure on finance and investors’ expectations.

Nevertheless, Kasturi is confident in its long -term vision. By creating a grooc core AI for all his businesses, he expects to build a system that adds everything from Mars mission to self-driving cars and social media platforms. But there are further challenges. Groke still faces questions about how reliable and accurate it is really, and it will not be easy to scale it in cases of such different use.
