Double iSmart: Ram Pothineni completes dubbing for next film with Puri Jagannadh; asks fans if they are ready for ‘mass madness’

Ram Pothineni is all set to come up with his much-awaited sequel film Double iSmart, directed by Puri Jagannadh. Now, the actor has shared a stylish video of himself completing the dubbing of the film, which is set to release on August 15, 2024.

The video shared by Rampo also has the caption, “Mamaaaa..Mental mass madness ready?”, which he is seen asking in his iSmart Shankar dialect.

Talking about the dubbing work, recently actor Sanjay Dutt has also completed his part, who is playing the main antagonist in Ram Pothineni-Puri Jagannadh’s film. The makers are definitely trying to make an action film with both the actors.

Incidentally, Ravi Teja’s Mr Bachchan directed by Harish Shankar is also slated to release on August 15. The upcoming films are set to clash on Independence Day this year as both the films are directed by stars.

The upcoming film starring Ram Pothineni is the official spiritual sequel to the 2019 film iSmart Shankar. The original film featured a masala plot that was infused with sci-fi concepts. Directed by Rampo, the film also featured actors Satyadev Kancharana, Nabha Natesh, Nidhi Agarwal, Ashish Vidyarthi and Raj Deepak Shetty in pivotal roles.

The story of the film revolves around a killer who is recruited by the police as a sample to transfer the memories of their most prominent but slain officer. As the memories are transferred, he starts forgetting himself and his life, becomes an honest cop and helps in the investigation. The film was a huge hit in the theatres.

Double iSmart is an upcoming film that brings back the central character of the first film, Ustad “iSmart” Shankar. The science-fiction action film is directed by Puri Jagannadh, who has also bankrolled the project along with Charmme Kaur.

The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Kavya Thapar, Sayaji Shinde, Bani J, Getup Srinu, Ali, Makarand Deshpande and many others in the lead roles. The film was initially delayed due to several financial constraints and is now set to hit the theatres soon.
