Trisha Krishnan has proved herself to be an indomitable name not only in regional cinema but across the country. Her art needs no introduction, and the diva has nailed it with her versatility. However, did you know that the actress had a different stage name, which she had to change before she fully ventured into films? Well, read on.
In one of her old interviews, Trisha revealed that she initially wanted to enter the film industry using the stage name Suhasini. Unfortunately, she was not credited with this name in any of her films and thus she decided to continue with her real name, Trisha.
Let us tell you that before debuting in films, Trisha had entered the world of modeling, pageant and fashion. She was crowned Miss Salem Steel City and later also won the title of Miss Chennai in 1999.
Speaking about this young phase of her life, Trisha shared in an old interview with Yugi Setu, “I tried modeling. It was about seven months ago, and I really enjoyed it.”
She further mentioned that acting was never something she initially aspired to and said that she preferred modeling instead.
Shortly thereafter, she appeared in several music videos as part of her early projects, including Falguni Pathak’s song Meri Chunar Ud Ud Jaaye. This was his first film in front of the camera.
Interestingly, the Vidamuyarchi actress was not particularly keen on joining the film industry and had plans to pursue a degree in criminal psychology.
However, fate intervened and he found his way into the creative world of cinema, leading to unmatched stardom. Over the years, the diva has been a part of some of the most successful films and has paired with leading stars of every decade.
Fast forward to now, Trisha has an enviable line-up of films, each of which promises to have her playing versatile roles.
These include Vidamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly with Ajith, Vishwambhara with Chiranjeevi, Suriya 45 with Suriya, Identity with Tovino Thomas, Thug Life with Kamal Haasan and others.
