Recalling that period, Farah said, “Everyone was in shock. There was a lot of uproar. People had a lot of opinions about their personal life, but I think both of them handled it beautifully. It was cordial.” She further added, “One thing I want to say on record is that there was never Rs 400 crore in alimony, and when I see people online saying that Rs 400 crore was paid and Sussanne became rich, it breaks my heart. I mean, that’s so false.”
Farrah further said that Sussanne did not take any money as part of the separation. Calling the rumors “completely false”, she said that her mother had always taught her that relationships matter more than material wealth. According to Farah, this is one of the reasons why Sussanne has a close relationship with Hrithik as well as his parents Pinky and Rakesh Roshan. She added, “That’s why today her relationship with her ex-husband Hrithik and her ex-in-laws Pinky and Rakesh Roshan is amazing. They love them.”
He also rejected the notion that Susan had benefited financially from the divorce, saying that his sister was from a respectable family and had always conducted herself decently. Farah described both Sussanne and Hrithik as respectful people and said that although their marriage did not work out, they never made a public spectacle of it. “There was no alimony involved. This is wrong and completely disgusting,” he said.
Farah also revealed that after the divorce was finalized in 2014, she had repeatedly urged Sussanne to publicly deny reports regarding the alleged alimony issue. However, Suzanne thought it better to remain silent. Recalling their conversation, Farah said that he had asked, ‘Why don’t you deny all this?’ According to her, Sussanne’s response was, “I don’t care what people think about me, Farrah.” Farah said this reflected her family’s outlook, adding that they do not allow public opinion to dictate their lives unless someone really adds value to it.
