Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praised the upcoming film ‘Ramayana’, called it world -class production. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film starred as Lord Ram, Sail Pallavi Sita as Ranbir Kapoor and Ravana as Yash.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recently attended the 4-day wave summit 2025, which was held at Jio Center, Mumbai. There, he spoke to writer-producer Namit Malhotra and shared that he was really amazed after going on the set of the upcoming film ‘Ramayana’. Emphasizing more on India’s rich history and culture, Fadnavis said, “I think, as you are right, we are the oldest storytellers in the world. Our art, drama, and music is very old, and we only wanted to couple it with the latest technology – and I think what you’re doing.”
“So, yesterday, when I visited your pavilion with the Prime Minister, I was amazed to see the quality of ‘Ramayana’.
Apart from the lead roles, the film also includes Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey and Lara Dutta in important parts. Allegedly, the film will be released in two parts, the first scheduled for Diwali 2026 and the second part in 2027.
Prior to this mythological film, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in ‘Animal’ with Rashmika Mandanna, while Sai Pallavi’s last film was the Telugu film ‘Thandel’ with Naga Chaitanya.
