Speculation regarding the fate of Jr NTR Devara: Part 2 The discussion has intensified since the release of the first installment, with many fans questioning whether a sequel would go ahead following mixed reviews. The first part starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan ended with stories that left the audience hoping for a continuation.

It’s been more than a year since Devara: Part 1 It debuted in 2024 to a lukewarm reception, leading to concerns that a sequel had been shelved. The absence of an official update fostered uncertainty and fueled further rumors within the fan community.

At a recent event, producer Sudhakar Mikkilineni responded directly to these concerns, providing clarity on the status of the project. He said, “We will start shooting it in May this year. We are planning to release it next year in 2027. The film will definitely be another blockbuster hit.”

The first film, despite mixed reviews, achieved a collection of Rs 428 crore at the global box office. Some fans expressed both relief and skepticism in reaction to the announcement. One fan commented, “2028 fix Cheskondi Ika (Assuming it will be released in 2028).

Devara: Part 1 The story focuses on the character of pirate-turned-philanthropist Devara and his son Vara, both portrayed by Jr NTR. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Srikanth and Shine Tom Chacko, and was produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni, Kosaraju Harikrishna and Nandamuri Kalyanaram under Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts. The second part was announced on the first anniversary of brother-in-law.
