David, Victoria Beckham unfollow son Brooklyn amid reports of rift; he does the same
David and Victoria Beckham have unfollowed their eldest son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham on Instagram, with Brooklyn also cutting social media ties with his parents and siblings, in a sign of deepening family rift.

David and Victoria Beckham appear to have grown even more estranged from their eldest son, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, and the family feud is now playing out publicly on social media. The former football star and fashion designer no longer follows Brooklyn on Instagram and has unfollowed both of her parents, in what is being considered the clearest sign of ongoing tension within the famous family.
This disconnect extends beyond just Brooklyn. David and Victoria Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz, do not follow Beckham, nor do they appear on the accounts Nicola follows. While the couple continues to follow their younger sons, Romeo and Cruz, Brooklyn doesn’t follow either brother, and they don’t follow her back either, a pattern that is also reflected on Nicola’s Instagram account.
According to reports, the tension is linked to Brooklyn and Nicola’s high-profile wedding in Palm Beach, Florida in 2022. What was initially portrayed as a fairy tale celebration later became the subject of several reports indicating feuds behind the scenes. A source told People Rumors of disagreements between Victoria and Nicola over the bridal gown were “real”, although another insider insisted that focusing solely on the dress was “far from the truth” and ignored wider issues.
Another report claimed tensions rose during the wedding when Victoria allegedly “hijacked” a special dance planned for Brooklyn and Nicola during Marc Anthony’s performance as a gift for the newlyweds.
The recent Instagram unfollowing incident reportedly follows Brooklyn and Nicola’s absence from David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration in London this May. Despite being invited, the couple skipped the event, which was attended by Victoria, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. Some reports linked his absence to Romeo’s girlfriend Kim Turnbull, who was rumored to have a past romantic relationship with Brooklyn. However, Cruz later shut down the speculation by replying to an Instagram comment, “Brooklyn and Kim never dated.”
Subtle exchanges on social media have also hinted at family divisions. Brooklyn recently shared a video of himself riding a motorcycle with Nicola, with the caption that he would “always choose” her. A few hours later, Cruz posted a family photo, calling David and Victoria “blessings” and thanking them for always taking care of his children.
Despite the apparent tension, sources say the relationship is not beyond saving. An insider told People“Every time they finally get a happy moment, everything falls apart again.” The source said that Brooklyn feels “torn”, explaining, “It’s her family and blood, but she’s always had a complicated relationship with her dad,” and claimed that parts of her relationship with David sometimes feels more like “business” than family. Although a reconciliation is possible, the family is said to be “hurt and disappointed that he no longer plays a role in family life.”
