Actress Celina Jaitley Haag has filed a case against her Austrian citizen husband Peter Haag under the Domestic Violence Act. The petition alleges that the 47-year-old mother of three boys “suffered continuous domestic violence at the hands of him”.

According to the report, she has also demanded a monthly maintenance amount of Rs 10 lakh and compensation payment of Rs 50 crore from Peter. PTIThe petition further states that Peter Haag has “completely blocked her access to the children who are currently in her custody in Austria,” As a result, she is seeking a custody order directing Peter to provide her with “uninterrupted virtual and telephonic access to the children,”

Celina was represented by a legal team from Karanjawala & Company. The petition was brought before Andheri First Class Judicial Magistrate SC Taddey. The magistrate reviewed and verified the complaint, then issued a notice to Peter Haag. The next scheduled date of hearing is December 12.

The detailed application outlines the couple’s marriage, which was registered on September 18, 2010 and resulted in three children. Celina Jaitley Haag claimed that her husband systematically destroyed both her professional career and finances.

“After marriage, the complainant worked intermittently until she had children, following which the respondent (husband) on various pretexts stopped her from working and took away her financial freedom and dignity,” the application said.

The application, which was officially filed on November 21, 2025, states that Celina is “a victimized person as defined under Section 2(A) of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act.”

The petition describes Peter Haag as “a narcissistic, self-absorbed man who shows no sympathy for his wife or three children” and alleges that his conduct “has deteriorated due to his short temper and alcoholic tendencies.”

Making financial allegations, the petition said: “He has systematically destroyed the personality of the complainant and has deliberately defrauded her into giving up control over her property and finances.”

Furthermore, the petition claims that he “took advantage of her by pressuring her to transfer the ownership of her residence in Mumbai into his name while she was going through severe depression following the death of her newborn child and both her parents within a few months of each other.”

The complaint alleges that the “severe emotional, physical, verbal and financial abuse” escalated to such an extent that “she was forced to flee the parties’ home in Austria in the middle of the night and return to India, leaving her three children behind.”

The petition states that Peter Haag frequently made racist and derogatory comments to Selina, often referring to her as his “maid” and claiming that she “looked like his maid” or that “people would mistake her for helping him.” The document states that such “constant insults caused her severe mental distress and gradually eroded her self-esteem.”
