War in North America 2 Zooms USD 500K mark
For two days before the release, Yash Raj Films’ production venture has recently upheld a half million mark in North America. Currently standing around the mark of USD 525K, War 2 should aim to continue its speed in the next two days. If the film is a witness to a big jump in its last two days, it may have a chance to kill the USD 1 million mark for the premiere.
Talking alone about the sale of USA premiere, War 2 sold more than 18,000 tickets in about 1850 shows at 695 places. Hrithik-NTR film made more than USD 470K in USA.
War 2 is a good start at the box office
War 2 is a Hindi film dubbed in Telugu and Tamil versions. Since Hindi films usually do not premiere, the advance booking of War 2 in North America is very appropriate. However, better traction was expected as JR NTR is essaying the role of the main antagonist. Unlike Hindi, South films usually have a premiere in international markets, thanks to the better cinema culture among the audience.
