Box Office: Pulkit Samrat’s Rahu Ketu opens with Rs 1 crore; Ashutosh Rana’s one two cha cha cha got washed out

Some comedy films were released in theaters this weekend. However, none of them could make a mark on the opening day, mainly due to non-stars and low buzz among the audience. Here’s a look at the opening day box office performance of Rahu Ketu and One Two Cha Cha Cha.

As per estimates, Rahu Ketu started with around Rs. 1 crore to Rs. Earning 1.25 crores at Indian box office. The film, starring the Fukrey duo, Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma in the lead roles, looked like a timepass entertainer as per its promotional material. However, they were not enough to provoke any kind of buzz, which is why the film had a slow opening day.

Directed by Vipul Vig, the comedy drama needs to show some strong trends going forward to make a good showing by the end of its theatrical run.

Rahu Ketu box office collection in India:

While Rahu Ketu managed to do some amazing work on the first day, its rival release One Too Cha Cha Cha didn’t even stand a chance. This low budget comedy film could earn only Rs 50 crore. With earnings of Rs 10 lakh, its theatrical fate was sealed on the first day itself. For those unaware, One Two Cha Cha Cha stars Ashutosh Rana, Ananth V. Joshi, Lalit Prabhakar, Harsh Mayar, Abhimanyu Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Nyra Banerjee and Ashok Pathak.

One Two Cha Cha Cha Box Office Collection in India:

Rahu Ketu and One Two Cha Cha Cha both have a free run of one week. Since Border 2 is coming to occupy most of the screens, both of them are expected to move out of theatres.
