Box Office: As Ajit Kumar’s good bad ugly ticket sales are open 6 days ago, analyzing whether it is a smart decision or a hurry

In a stunning step, the upcoming Tamil film Good Bad Ugly, starring Ajit Kumar in a triple role, opened ticket sales six days before the release of April 10. While the sale of the initial ticket is common, it raises the unprecedented initial opening question: is it a strategic move by Tollywood’s successful producer, Mythry filmmakers, or can it backfire?

Production veteran takes a bold step

Mithri Movie makers, a powerhouse in Telugu cinema, with a hit like Pushpa and Rangasthalam, Ajit’s good bad is making her grand Tamil debut with ugly. While his success in Tollywood, Malayalam and Hindi is well established, his decision to open a booking about a week before its release in the relatively new Kollywood market is a bold step.

Box Office Strategy: Calculation Risk or Extremely confident?

Tamil cinema has already seen ticket sales, but is usually close to release. Films like Vikram and Don, which used to produce the release buzz, opened booking two days ago. Given that there was not enough pre-relief promotion to create important propaganda in good bad ugly, why the crowd?

Is this an attempt to capitalize on Ajit’s fanbase and generate early speeds, or can it be in a hurry due to a tough competition on 10 April? All are releasing on the same day with Jack (Telugu), Jat (Hindi), and Bazuka (Malayalam), the fight for the attention of the box office is heating up.

Preliminary booking theory

When stimulation is high, early ticket booking is most effective, but good bad ugly does not produce that buzz enough. With a lukewarm trailer, the reception of the careless song, and the minimum promotion – Joth has not started promoting the film itself – how can the ticket start selling?

Despite the absence of pre–selling from other films released on April 10, it seems that it seems that it is trying to secure its audience before the competition is hot. In India, with the opening of Vidamukes with IN 32 crores and pre–selling of Rs 46 crore globally, it remains to be seen whether good bad ugly can match those figures.
