Border 2 box office collection: Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty’s film continues on second Friday, targets Rs 50 crore in second weekend

Border 2 remained strong on its second Friday and collected Rs. Earnings of around Rs 10 crore, almost the same as Thursday and showing negligible decline. The first day drop is 65 percent, which is a pretty good hold for a film that started well. This makes the price of the film Rs. 45-50 crores in second weekend, probably close to the high. The total box office collection of the film was Rs. 216.25 Crore Net approx, and this is approximately Rs. 250 crores by the end of its second weekend.

The film showed exceptional trends last weekend, but business declined on weekdays, especially on Wednesday. With a decline like this, there is always a possibility of a decline on the second Friday, especially for films performing better in smaller centres. However, the film stabilized yesterday and should now do well over the weekend. Ironically, the film is driven by multiplexes and larger centres, which also reflects the kind of tendency where the perception would be that the film would do better elsewhere.

Yesterday’s hold has also strengthened its chances of reaching Rs. The film earned Rs. 300 crores, which was always there, but if it had declined a lot yesterday, it would have been doubtful. The Sunny Deol starrer is now aiming for Rs. 325 crores nett or more, with outside shots up to Rs. 350 crore nett. After the pandemic, it has been observed that films were going above Rs. Struggling to reach even Rs 500 crore nett or Rs. 300 crore nett last year till Saiyara. Border 2 will be another rare film with such a big budget. Net difference of Rs 200 crore.
