KBC 16: Big B remembers when Vidhu Vinod Chopra scolded him for coming late on the set
In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, the megastar revealed how he once received a mild scolding from director Vidhu Vinod Chopra for arriving ten minutes late on the sets.

In the new episode of the beloved game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, the actor recalled a light anecdote from himself and director-producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
Speaking to special guest Vikrant Massey, Big B shared that he was scolded for arriving late to the sets by just ten minutes.
“If you talk about being punctual, then (Vidhu Vinod Chopra) scolds you. Once I was working with him and we finished the work late at night. Before leaving he said that we have to come to the set at 6 am the next day. I was like this is crazy, we finished work at 3 in the morning, so how could we come in at 6 in the morning? I came 10 minutes late and he scolded me in front of the entire unit. He said, ‘You’re 10 minutes late’,” the actor shared.
Vikrant, who was there to promote his upcoming release, Sabarmati Report, shared another anecdote to highlight Chopra’s dedication towards his craft, “When we were making the music for 12th Fail, the background Only 4 instruments were used. For 4-5 months he kept following the music composer Shantanu Moitra that the sitar was not playing properly. Instruments were brought from Bengal and every other place where sitar was available. Even then it did not seem right. Then he asked Shantanu to bring a sitar which RD Burman used to play. Then he ordered a sitar from the 1960s. And it was eventually discontinued, because its resonance matched the wood that was used to make sitars at that time. He is so dedicated.”
Vikrant Massey and Vidhu Vinod Chopra worked together on the acclaimed release, 12th Fail.
Meanwhile, KBC 16 airs every weekday at 9 PM on Sony TV.
