Salim Khan shifted to ICU, doctors confirm his condition is stable

Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Lilavati Hospital under the supervision of experts. The doctor said in a press statement that Khan is currently stable.

Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital early on Tuesday, he has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after being given immediate medical care. This was confirmed by an official statement issued by Dr. Jalil Parkar, who was treating him.

Regarding the health of Salim Khan, father of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, Dr Parker said in a statement, “His condition is stable but he is being closely monitored regarding his medical condition.”

The statement also said that a team of experts including neurologist Dr Vinay Chavan, cardiologist Dr Ajit Menon, neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange and Dr Bineet Ahluwalia treated Salim Khan.

In his statement, Dr. Parker further said that Salim Khan is currently stable and is under close observation to monitor his medical condition. Respecting the family’s request for privacy, the hospital has refrained from sharing further medical details at this time.

The doctor said that while maintaining the confidentiality of the patient, a formal press bulletin will be issued at 11 am on Wednesday with the consent of the family.

Salim Khan is considered one of the most influential screenwriters in the history of Hindi cinema. As one half of the famous screenwriting duo Salim-Javed, along with Javed Akhtar, he changed mainstream Bollywood storytelling in the 1970s.

Together they wrote some of the most iconic films of Indian cinema, including Sholay, Deewar, Zanjeer, And leader. His work was instrumental in shaping the “angry young man” ideal that defined an entire era of Hindi films.
