The announcement of the National Award winners has created a wave of messages from South Indian personalities on social media. Filmmaker Atally, actor Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal were one of the major figures expressing his praise for recipients.
Atlee, who directed Shah Rukh Khan’s award -winning performance in ‘Jawa’, took X to share his bliss. He wrote, “Blessed looks. I am super-happy that you have received the National Award for our film ‘Jawan’. It seems very emotional and inspiring to be a part of your journey. Thank you for relying on me and giving this film, sir. This is just my first love letter; a lot is going to come.”

Kamal Haasan also greeted the winners. The winners of the prestigious awards of this year were officially declared in Delhi on 1 August.
Actors Shah Rukh Khan, Vikrant Masi, and Rani Mukherjee won the award for their standout performance in ‘Jawa’, ’12th Failure’ and ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway’ respectively. Massey and Khan were jointly awarded the best actor, while Mukherjee won the best actress. Filmmaker Vidya Vinod Chopra’s ’12th Fail’ was named Best Feature Film.
