Power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to welcome their first child in September this year and the whole nation is waiting for this unique moment. Recently, mehndi artist Veena Nagda spoke to Pinkvilla’s sister channel Hindi Rush and predicted the gender of the couple’s upcoming baby.
“I met Ranveer Singh at Ram Charan’s wedding and we hugged each other and expressed our happiness. We met again at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding and we shared the same feelings. Singh jokingly said I also want some mehendi and hugged me. I also congratulated him and said that a son is coming,” she said in Hindi.
In the same conversation, Veena revealed that she first applied mehendi to Deepika Padukone during the shooting of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. It was the same time when the actress promised Nagda that she would call the artist during her wedding and she did so.
Veena was booked for five days during DeepVeer’s wedding in 2018 and had to work for just one day. She shared with us that Ranveer was very playful there too and has always been a powerhouse entertainer. Love between Deepika and Ranveer first blossomed on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2013 film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela where they were paired opposite each other. Their crackling on-screen chemistry soon blossomed into love, which blossomed further during the shooting of Bajirao Mastani (2015) and Padmaavat (2018).
After dating for six years, the couple finally got married on November 14, 2018, in the presence of their close friends and family at Lake Como in Italy. Earlier this year, they announced their pregnancy and are due to have their baby in September.
Talking about work, both of them will soon be seen sharing the screen in Rohit Shetty’s film Singham Again, which is going to release on Diwali this year. This action film will also feature Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Jackie Shroff in important roles.
