First teaser poster of actor Allu Arjun’s upcoming sci-fi thriller, tentatively titled aa22 x a6was unveiled on 7 April. The poster hints at a new cinematic universe, while also announcing that the official title of the film will be announced on the actor’s birthday, April 8.

Sun Pictures on its Instagram handle shared the visuals of the hand of a creature that is rugged, powerful and otherworldly. The caption read, “Brace for the blast (blast emoji) title poster, tomorrow at 11am…@alluarjunonline @atlee47 @deepikapadukone #AA22xA6 (sic).”

The film is directed by Atlee and actress Deepika Padukone also plays an important role in it. This is Padukone’s first collaboration with Allu Arjun. He had earlier starred in Atlee’s action-thriller young (2023), with actor Shahrukh Khan.

In June 2025, Sun Pictures shared a video welcoming Padukone to the cast aa22 x a6. Sharing the announcement on Instagram, the production house wrote, “Rani moves on to win! @deepikapadukone welcome to #TheFacesOfAA22xA6 (sic).”

The video shows Padukone and Atlee discussing the script before the actor goes into preparation mode. Then, with elaborate make-up, she steps onto the set in full costume, ready for battle.

Following the massive global success of Pushpa: RulesAllu Arjun is set to lead the much awaited aa22 x a6. The project is expected to be a huge technical undertaking, with Atlee reportedly planning a visual scale and world-building that will rival Avatar Movies.

Production on the AA22 x A6 is already underway, with filming expected to finish by late 2026. The story is reportedly based on two different universes, aiming to give Indian audiences a first-of-its-kind cinematic experience.
