Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Shanaya Kapoor share excitement for Aryan Khan’s directorial debut series; Ananya Panday says, ‘You are not ready for this’

After months of speculation, Netflix officially announced the debut of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, as director on the upcoming series. As soon as the streaming platform shared the announcement post on its Instagram handle, celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Shanaya Kapoor, Karan Johar and Ananya Panday expressed their excitement. He extended his warmest wishes to the star-kid.

Shahrukh Khan and his family have had a very close relationship in the film industry over the last three decades. Despite Aryan staying away from the media glare, he knows him closely, who has written words of encouragement for him.

Alia Bhatt, who has worked with Shah Rukh and collaborated with his production company, reshared the Netflix post on her Instagram Stories handle and shared her excitement, writing, “Can’t wait!”

Interestingly, the 27-year-old actor was first seen on screen playing the younger version of King Khan in Karan’s directorial debut Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001.

Although everyone expected Aryan to follow his father’s footsteps in acting, the star-kid was candid about his interest in writing and directing. Shah Rukh Khan revealed that his elder son’s series will chronicle the journey of an ambitious outsider into the glamorous yet intriguing world of cinema and show how he overcomes challenges to find his way.

While other details about the project are still under wraps, it is scheduled to release in 2025 and is packed with drama, humor, and important cameos. His mother Gauri Khan will produce the show under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment.
